Frequently Asked Questions
Must I have a regular yoga practice to attend the workshop?
The physical intensity
of this workshop is considered appropriate for all levels, including beginners. A regular yoga practice, though certainly
helpful, is not necessary. However, you should have a relative degree of fitness and be conscious in managing and honoring
your limits. We have had complete beginners attend as well as DC's who are also yoga teachers. Everyone will learn practical
tools that can be incorporated into their chiropractic practices, regardless of their backround.

What type of continuing education credits do
I receive? ChiroYoga™

twelve hours of continuing education credit that qualifies as either general CEU or technique CEU.

What do I wear during the class?
Please wear comfortable workout/yoga
clothes. It is most helpful to have either form-fitting tights or shorts in order to observe the alignment of the legs. Yoga Supplies-
what should I bring?
Please bring 1 mat, and
2-3 wool or Mexican-type blankets. If possible, please also bring 1-2 yoga blocks and a yoga strap. *Yoga mats and other props are easily available at stores
such as Target or TJ Max for $10-20.
Or, borrow props and supplies from a yoga patient. They'll be delighted you asked! |
Do I need to take notes during the workshop? All attempts are made to make this an experiential
program, allowing you to learn the material by creating body memory in doing the poses. To help in that effort, we provide
a detailed and comprehensive manual that covers all of the material that is covered during the class time. You will be able
to reference to this manual anytime during and after the class, as it is yours to keep. There is probably no need to write
or record but you are welcome to do so. Please, no filming.
|
Break time/ food?
There is a lot of material to cover and twelve hours of class time to complete.
In order for workshop to not extend into two long days, we do not take limited breaks. Please bring some water and a
few snacks to suit your dietary and energy needs. Remember, a full belly is not generally helpful while practicing yoga.
