Anatomy Teaching
Steven Weiss has been offering programs that explore anatomy and structural alignment for yoga students, teachers and as part of yoga teaching trainings programs (YTT). He continues to teach "Anatomy, Asana, and Alignment" for the Holistic Studies Program at the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies, in Rhinebeck, NY. He also has developed and taught, "The Way of the Peaceful Runner", a program that applies yogic principles of alignment and breathing to long distance running.

Dr. Weiss' approach to teaching is to make anatomy user-friendly with a direct and clear application to classic yoga postures. The alignment principles that are the foundation of the workshop draw from Anusara and Iyengar concepts and explore their underlying biomechanics and structural anatomy.

A two day program is available in a ten-hour format that satisfies the anatomy requirements for a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher training program. A six-hour, one day program is also available and well suited for the studio that wishes to introduce more understanding of anatomy and the precision of alignment to their teachers and students.
