What to know before a ChiroYoga™ Therapy session
Welcome to an introduction to the eclectic bodywork system of ChiroYoga™ Therapeutics, otherwise known as BioMechanical Re-Patterning. This will help prepare you in what to expect and how to receive the most benefit from the session.

If you are familiar with traditional chiropractic, or if you thought that chiropractic was only about spinal adjustments and manipulations, this will be a new and different experience.

This work is gentle and specific, and when needed it is appropriately deep. It addresses not just overall ranges of motion and muscle symmetry, but restores the extremely subtle movements observed in the body and releases the delicate tension in muscles and other related soft tissue.

Dialog- This session is an opportunity for you to really “let go”. Conversation is discouraged, as is the mental pursuit to “understand” every step of the session. The constant tension and persistent stimulation of a mind in judgment and validation mode is a common block to obtaining “ease” and well being.

Relax!- During the session it is recommended that you relax and maintain a meditative-like state, but be awake and able to participate when needed. Verbal feedback is usually not helpful and often interferes with my deeper “listening” to your body.

Fear- In a new setting or with a new experience, fear can be natural. However, it triggers the body’s stress response, shifting energy away from healing and making “ease” less likely. It is up to you to determine if, in this present moment, fear is based on something real and it is serving you, or if it is in fact, limiting your progress. I trust in that process and in offering you a safe setting. I can work with you, regardless.

Although the session is not intended as a “cure”, most people do notice an improvement in the symptoms they may be experiencing- immediately or soon after the session. Often, there is increased energy, deep calm, or even euphoria. It is possible to experience emotions of all types from the releasing of imprinted emotional body memory. This is a natural “discharge”. For a small percentage of people, there may be mild soreness that passes quickly, similar in nature to what might occur by stretching or exercising muscles that you might not have utilized for a while.
